IT jobs in Canada

Hi Folks,

I would need your help in understanding what kind of IT jobs are in demand in Canada (especially Ottawa) as before I move there I would like to do some IT courses in India which are recognised worldwide and can help me fetch a good job / IT job in Canada instead of odd jobs in beginning. I am a BCA graduate and MBA marketing from India.

Few of the courses / certifications I had in mind were MCSE / CCNA / RHCE / Sap / Oracle DBA / asp DBA / Java / Programming. Pls suggest as your help will be highly appreciated.

Planning to do CCNA. Will it be useful only in Ottawa or other places as well?

without experience getting job in Canada will be tough ; if you focus entry level then it won't just do not show them your MBA degree if you plan IT jobs.

As far as certifications are considered, select any one domain and do the one which are required.

however before investing in certification make sure you fullfill language requirements as investing in that would be much helpful ; try to master French if possible.

1) Networking :- CCNA, CCNP, RHCE, MCSE
2) Security:- CEH, CISSP
3) IT :- ITIL, MCSE,
