IT Jobs in canada specially OTTAWA

i would like to know what is the probability of finding a suitable job in the IT field ( Systems & Network - Microsoft - Cisco ) specially in Ottawa .... i will land next October but i am so worry about finding a job there ...... as well as i will lose my job in egypt .... i am working in a big company now .... so, i am so so worry ....

please advise

i have : MCSE ( ISA - Exchange ) + CCNA ..... & also deep experince in Citrix - Juniper Firewall management - Symantec Antivirus server/client + Symantec Backupexec + HP & Dell servers ( arrays setup + Raid controllers ....etc ).

Experience about 7 years

I must warn you that you may not be able to get IT job that easily because most companies would require Canadian experience.

because i hear that most immigrant face that problem ( companies want Canadian experience )

This is in general.. My field of expertise is in IT as well.. Mainframe particulary (COBOL/DB2, etc.)

My friends who have landed in Canada told me about the Canadian experience although some were able to work in the IT industry, some didnt have the same luck.

Dear Netscreen/Juniper fellow..

Well, I know for sure that there are many opportunities can fit your qualifications.

But if you seek even more opportunities, you can head to Montréal where so many IT HQs are located..& of course in Toronto there are a variety of chances as well.
Edmonton & Calgary both are the main residence for so many O/G HQs, in addition, there are so many tech. firms operating there.

Well, it really depends on the firm you would like to work in (Telecom/IT/Tech/OG/Insurance..etc)
But do not worry, Ottawa has got plenty of opportunities.
