Once PR land in Canada, I know that it takes about 4 weeks to receive PR card to your Canadian home address.
Could you leave Canada, and re-enter with your passport (since UK passport allows you to visit Canada for up to 3 months)? or do you need to enter with PR card once you are granted that status?

I heard other posters said it could take 7.5 weeks to receive the PR card. If you re-enter the country with only your passport (without the PR card), it might result misrepresentation, so you would need to enter with PR crd once you are granted the status.
As a national of a country that can enter Canada visa free, yes you can enter canada with your UK passport under the visa waiver program even without your PR card.
