I got a PCC for my spouse from a local police station in India.
Since he studied and worked outside of my state for some time, they clearly mentioned in PCC that 'Mr. XXXX (holder of ......) who is a resident of XXXXXX except the period from 2004 to 2007 and 2010 to 2012 has not come to any adverse notice". Does anyone have any idea if this cause any issues?
Can I submit it in this way ? Anyone please advise.
Its very urgent for me to add him in my application submitted back in June 2012. Please help!!!
I think it's not going to sit well with cic.. why don't you ask your spouse to get a certificate for the mentioned period from the state in which he studied? Btw why do you think you need to submit it asap? Your application will be on hold until you submit all the documents for your spouse.

I tend to agree with Andy. Try to get a proper one without any gaps in dates. By the way, did you apply for PCC in india through one of the passport service kendras in india or was it thru some other channel?
I got it from the local Senior Superintendent of Police.
In order to get it from the regional passport office, we dont have his passport which is with VO for TRV.
Not sure what to do in this situation...

Not sure if this is possible but can you speak to the SP office and see what they can do? Let us wait for more responses from people who have experienced this before..
Did you apply from India or Canada? If it is in India then how you applied through online system(Passport Seva) or some agency.
Better to show it enough evidence of residency to SP for different places and short out issue.

My spouse is India and he applied it thru the local police station and got it.
We are going to apply it again. Not sure if they can give without specifying the period.
Will give a try. Thanks a ton for your advice!!!
