I very much appreciate if you can help with the following. I would like to know if this college offers pgwp. FYI, I am looking up information for my friend's relative. He got an offer from ISI montreal college. As per the discussions on the forum, this college appears to have started taking foreign students just from last semester or this semester (Fall 2018/spring 2019). So none of the current students could vouch for a guarantee of a PGWP.

Here are the admission details:

---------
DLI #: O19338447379
Program: Programming and Web Technologies LEA.5G
Duration: 2 Years/ 4 Semesters with mandatory internship
Start date: May 27, 2019
Tuition $ 29,204 CAD (includes tuition and insurance fee)
Type of Study: Full-time
Level of Study: Diploma - Attestation of College Studies (AEC)
Type of College: Licensed Private
Admission Eligibility: Bachelors or DEC or equivalent
---------
I checked the canada website and it says
-------------------------
to be eligible for a PGWP, your program must be 900 hours or longer and lead to 1 of the following:

  • Diplôme d’études professionnelles (DEP) (Diploma in Vocational Studies)
  • Attestation de spécialisation professionnelle (ASP) (Attestation of Vocational Specialization)
  • Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) (Diploma in College Studies)
  • Attestation d’études collégiales (AEC) (Attestation of College Studies)
--------------------------
The program is for 2 years and AEC, does this mean that he would get PGWP? Do you suggest going for this college?

Very much appreciate your inputs. Thank you.

Pgwp - Yes
Csq - No (What, when, why of csq- Google)
College - Bogus private college with no reputation among employers

Thank you for your reply.

without csq, will he be eligible to apply for pr in the future?
Only with 1 year experience not on basis of diploma. Very difficult nowadays after Quebec government slashed immigration quota by 10%

Thank you so much for your quick reply. So, after graduation, if he works in the country for 1 year, he will be eligible to apply for PR under express entry point based system like any other applicant, am I correct?

Sorry for being repetitive and redundant in asking these questions, I just want to have a better clarity before I advise him. Thanks again for your time, really appreciate it.

Csq is for Quebec and PR is applied on basis of csq. EE is a different process. Use Google to know the difference

PGWP is an open permit issued on a federal basis which allows you to work in Canada. The CSQ ( Certificat de Selection du Quebec ) is a certificate you require to permanently settle in Quebec. With this, you can then apply for PR with the Canadian federal government if you want to live in Quebec.

Express entry is something completely different and for that, you need not have to waste your money doing this course. It is not dependent on you doing any course in Canada. The only thing you will save is WES certification.

I am applying for ISI college montreal for september intake 2019. As per the consultant, I have to apply for CSQ, and i don't need work experience for applying PR. Is this true?
Is ISI college montreal a good choice? Will I get PGWP after completion of course in this college?

Any particular reason for choosing this low grade education shop?

Your consultant is lying on everything except pgwp.

There are lot of good public colleges in Montreal. Go for them. Consultants get very high comisscomm from these shops and students are happy as they can work cash in hand jobs because of limited hours in a week to these shady shops.

Don't waste your money
