Hi there,

I'm a student in Canada since 2019. I'm going to bring my parents here through a Visitor visa. They are fully vaccinated bot with the Sinopharm vaccine, which is not yet approved by Canada.
Given this, I was wondering if they apply for a Visitor visa, will a biometric letter be issued for them to start the process of their visa? What about the visa, will it be issued at all?

Thank you

You can try, but there's no guarantee, specially with a TRV status.

What do you mean by wanting to bring your parents to Canada? Where are they from?

Thanks. We're Iranian. I mean they plan to visit me as It's been 3 years that we haven't been able to see each other (and I'm the only child). Therefore, I was wondering if, given the current restrictions, it's possible that they can get a Visitor visa to come to Canada. I've heard that if they apply now, even the biometric letter will not be issued for them.
Thanks

For parents of study permit holders it still says you need special authorization so it isn’t guaranteed. The bigger issue is the fact that they have Iranian citizenship and you are their only child. Iranian citizens often have difficulty getting temporary permits because of concerns they will remain in Canada. Would start by trying to see if they can secure a TRV.
