I took 10 days of unpaid leave and was given a Record of Employment for that by my employer. Does this mean I have to work extra 10 days from my joining date to complete 1 year exp ?
details :
Join date: Feb 16th, 2016.
Unpaid Vacation: July 22 to August 8th [August 1st was Statutory holiday]
so I will be completing my one year work experience on Feb 15th 2017 or March 1st 2017.

Are you an hourly employee? If yes, are you certain it was really "unpaid"? I ask because in some occupations, "vacation pay" is added to each paycheck (something like 4%). If that is the case, even if you didn't get paid for those specific days, you could take 2 weeks' of vacation without worry. It would be best if that vacation pay is specified in the letter of employment.
If that is NOT your situation, then it is better to work the time to make up for the unpaid leave.

I am not a hourly worker, I get a fixed salary for one month on 15th and 30th/31st of every month, But for the two week I took off i got lesser than what i usually get. And my pay slip for that particular period doesn't say anything about vacation pay.
So I have work for those 2 weeks to get one full year of Xp ?
To prevent any unnecessary confusion I personally would. With the current processing times, 2 weeks won't really make a big difference at the end of the day.

you're right buddy. I do not want to take any risk. I might as well wait for the first draw in March as I will fully qualified for the Express Entry.
Hopefully my score [476] will be enough to get a ITA in that Draw.
