Asking on behalf of someone?

He used to study in Sweden in 2013 until July and applied for a German visa which he got and moved to Germany in August 2013.
But in address history he has put he stayed in Sweden until 2013 October. As he didn’t remember when he left Sweden, he ordered a Swedish migration certificate which showed that he left Sweden in October. Therefore, he put that date.

Now he remembers this but doesn’t have exact dates as when he started living in Germany. What is the best course of action? Should he inform about this through a webform or withdraw his application and re submit?

He has drafted a letter to send via webform as of now. Will CIC accept it as he is trying to be as truthful as possible? This was a genuine mistake due to the Swedish Migration Certificate.

He updated me with the confused dates. He mentioned in the application -
October 2012 - Oct 2013 - Sweden
Oct 2013 - Jan 2014 - Germany
Jan 2014 - August 2014 - Germany.

The correct dates should be
October 2012 - July 2013 - Sweden
July 2013 - Nov 2013 - Germany
Nov 2013 - August 2014 - Germany.

Not a big deal. He can send a Webform to correct it.

And what if he decides to leave it like that? Will it create any issues or count as misrepresentation?
