Is there need for Canadian PCC?

I will appreciate if anyone can give me a sordid advice on this query please.

I studied in Canada for four years then left the country to my home country, I now want to apply for PR in other to relocate back to Canada. Do I need to do police check in Canada?

You need the PCC (through RCMP) from Canada, I got it done and paid around 56.50 CAD (incl. Taxes), they are fast and takes only a week at the max to finalize the results after they receive your application.

The above is incorrect.

You don't "need" a Canadian PCC but it may be requested during the processing of your application so it is up to you to decide if you want to submit it upfront.

As DelPiero said you don't need Canadian PCC.

But if they will want to ask for it it might save time to do it upfront.
