I am also planning but financial statement problem.. Tell me what statement would be enough if in my offer letter it is written that I MUST BE PREPARED TO SPEND 37000$ per year?
Same problem here also. In my offer letter also it is mentioned that total cost is 37,000 $ .
I am getting a scholarship of approx. 17,000 $/ yr and from the website the estimated tuition fees + health insurance = 13,000$.
For living cost if I consider 10,000 $, then also there is a huge amount left if we go by 37,000$. I am also not sure why this extra amount
comes into picture..
They have included clothing, entertainment and all in that 37,000$. Don't know exactly how much do I need to show for my visa?
I have told you before Mayank it's m.eng engnrg mngmnt same for which u applied...in the offer letter it is written now I am very confused what to do,the actual tuition fee for two years is 7000+6500+7000...
Yeah exactly u explained my prob...the main prob is if we go with 37000$ per year and the course is 2 years then we need to show enough wealth that we can afford total 74,000$....I do not want to take any risk so badly confused.
I am contacting with the finance department and admission department regarding this. You can also ask them and if you receive any update please let me know..
Count me in .... got admission in UOttawa for Fall'13 (MEng - Engineering Management)
As far as i know the tuition fees depends on the study plan.
Majority of the students register for Fall and Winter and take a break in Summer/Spring (May to Aug)
Just ignore the total expenses mentioned in the offer letter, it is definately not 37000$ (just a general guideline from univ.)
The actual fees for non-exempt International Student going for Master's in Enginnering is 6500$ (Fall) + 6500$ (Winter) + 684$ (health insurance) = 13684$ (for 1 year)
The only problem for us right now is How to pay the tuition fees before applying for visa....
As per the University Calender the registration for graduate students begins from June 26th !!!
www . registrar . uottawa . ca/Default . aspx?tabid=4172#fallwinter
If we go by this schedule and pay the fees after registration in June end, it will be very late by then to apply for Study Permit !!!
I think applying for Study Permit in mid may is the safest option ... but in May we cant pay the fees and get the receipts (As required by CHC - The student needs to pay full tuition fees for 1st year and produce fee receipt with application)
