Is there any problem when the name on bank draft, is not the name of applicant

Hi seniors
Please your opinion and help.
I managed to receive a bank draft from my friend (for RPRF), but in the bank draft my friend name was written as the source of the money, not my name. But the draft is payable to “Receiver General of Canada” and my inquiry is there any problem when the name on the bank draft , is not the name of the applicant.

They might be confused.Its better to get another draft with your name and with your funds.

i beg to disagree. you can write a covering letter with that, that ur friend got for u as u were unable to get it.

moreover i can remember wen we send a bank draft we tear off the receipt portion and the draft which actually goes has only beneficiary name "receiver general for canada" and it doesnt show sender's name

Not at all.just don't forget to put your file number and your full name on the back of the money order.
recipient is important.

I will take your advice in consideration,
but unfortunately in my country there is no bank having any branch in Canada no one deal in CAD, and this b/draft sent from outside of my country.

Oh , that's the different scenario and in this case as cocknbull mentioned ,that portion will be teared off .Just write your name and file number on back of draft and you will be OK.

Please I used Bank draft written in my name by my sister, but it was not acknowledged in my application, I have reapplied again with the bank draft and some cash in my account.Please does embassy accept bank drafts as it is written in their site that bank draft is accepted.
