Is there any Child Benefits available for Non Canadians

Hi All

My husband is working in Vancouver with a closed work permit And we have a 6 months old child. We are Indians.

Is there any Child benifits given for our baby?
If so how to check and avail it.

My nephew by birth Indian is getting child benefits in Japan, would like to know is there something in Canada too.

Yes - but only once you've been in Canada for 18 months.

Unclear from your post but the child must be in Canada.
