Dear All,
My wife is the primary applicant and she is done with her landing process. I am planning to land in January and my question is
1. Do I need to show proof of fund as a dependent(secondary applicant)?
2. If yes, then can I show my deputation letter instead of POF as I am getting deputed to Toronto from the same company where I work currently
Any reply is appreciated.
Thanks,
Manil
Not required but You can bring as much money as you can just in case.
Hi Meya,
Even I believe that it is not required. But I didn't get any such thing written on CIC website
Thanks,
Manil

In my opinion, just bring your spouse's bank statement and proof of her address in Canada.
All the best
Hi Meya,
Thanks for your reply
Currently my wife is in US and so I am planning to keep DD of $15000 as POF. I think this is the safest option but I'll have to pay heavy for currency conversion
Thanks,
Manil

If you are already in Canada you don't need to show funds

I don't think you will need proof of funds, but it doesn't hurt to have it.
" Proof of funds" - not required to be in Canadian dollars, and not required to be in a Canadian bank. If you have a US bank account in USD, that will be accepted as well - no need to convert -
