Is One year old PCC valid

Hello All,

I stayed in Germany four years back. I took Germany PCC last year. Now, I am planning to apply for Canadian PR (Express Entry). Is my one year old Police Clearance Certificate from Germany Valid? or do I need to take a new certificate? I have not visited/stayed in Germany after 2015.

That's not true. Correct me if i'm wrong but i believe the 6 month rule only applies to the country you are CURRENTLY residing in. In OP's case, if he/she hasn't stayed in Germany for over 6 month in a row after 2015, the PCC never expires as long as it's done after the last day of residence in Germany.

Back to OP's case, yes your PCC is still valid and you don't need a new one.

Try it... check your PCC does it have expiry date. For example US puts expire date. India does not UK does. So double check. If it does not have expiry date it should be good..

Nah... even if it does have an expiry date IRCC still accepts it.
Instructions specifically says expired PCC is still acceptable if it meets the criteria above.

They are correct.
An expired PCC is acceptable if you have not visited the same country on later dates for a stay of 6 months or more.

Even for tr to pr? I uploaded my PCC but I never went back to home country since the issuance of PCC. But my stream is tr to pr.
