I have total 71 points with approved job by fsw deptt.
I have cleared IELTS test with S-5.5,L-5,R-6,W-6,Overall -5.5 on 20,november,2010
Now I have 71+7=78 points.
IS my IELTS score is sufficient?

On the face of it, it's sufficient. But always have a plan B. Should your score calculation not match (study + workex) with the guys calculating at Nova Scotia, there might be an issue.
I would take the advise given by Lins. If you have time, try and improve your IELTS scores
Plz do not forget about the provision of negative substitution. so if you have time plz prepare well and try to improve your score.
The ability to communicate effectively in English, of which IELTS score is an indicator is essential for survival and progress in Canada and thus is treated with utmost importance by VOs.
There have been cases and some reported on this forum where people were asked to provide additional proofs of their ability to establish themselves in Canada because of low IELTS score.
Low IELTS score might pose a threat as it indicates less adaptability to living in Canada. However, since you are well above required points, it may not be necessary to take it again. If you could take IELTS again to improve your score, it will work in your favor. I would take it again, if I were you.
