i was living in Calgary and I moved to Montreal, I updated my address to Montreal. I called and they said my file was going to be transferred to Montreal and I need to write a letter if I don’t want it to be transferred. I told them I don’t want it to be transferred but I didn’t write a letter! I called about 2 weeks later and I was told that my file wasn’t going to be transferred and it’s going to stay in Calgary. Even if I didn’t write a letter.
Is that good or bad ?
Im worried my file will take longer because of this ?

Very strange that AB is this slow, with covid cases going down and vaccine rolling out we should at least expect things to start going back to normal not the other way around.

Vaccines are only just recently increasing. And it will take time for the local govt offices to go back to full strength, and then they will have to get through the backlog
