Dear All,
Please guide me as to whether it is right to move to Canada in mid of January, especially when we have a 6 year old daughter with us. If in case, we decide to move, what kind of preparations we need.
Kindly reply soon, i shall be highly grateful.
Thansk in advance.

Comparing to last year in Ontario, the winter is mild at present. But I guess it could be more chilly weather in January which may continue till end of February. For correct information and for study,
CNN weather and
the Weather Network sites are ideal. However, you should bring sufficient winter clothing for you and family to survive the extreme weather up on arrival starting from the airport. When it is convenient you can make shopping for winter clothing as much as you need at nearest malls. As there is a waiting time of 3 months for health card, I suggest you bring few non-prescription medicines such as paracetamol, antihistamine, medicine for sore throat, cough etc for immediate use including pediatric preparation and herbal (ayurvedic) medicine if you prefer.

Where in Canada?
In Ottawa today it is raining and 4C, but in Yellowknife it is -31C (Wind chill of -43C).
Clearly, where you are in Canada really matters

Hi
The answer to this question is totally dependent on you as a person, irrespective of weather conditions. Even if you land in the summer, you'll still experience the winter someday and vice versa.
