Is it possible to work on student visa once we finish studying in Canada

Hey guys,
I just wanted to confirm if its possible to work on a valid student visa as I will be graduating in December but would get the grades and transcripts one month later to apply for PGWP. During that time, I am offered job, would it be illegal to work until I apply for work permit as my study permit is valid?
