SOWP are not guaranteed for spouses of international student. You can apply with your study permit although it tends to delay your application or apply once you receive your study permit.

Greetings
Is it ok ifucan share ur email and I will send u docs there
Hi. No need to send me docs as Im not a consultant or anything. Just sharing to you what me and my spouse submitted, hope this helps.
What I submitted:
Full tuition fee payment receipt, GIC-ensured that I have enough funds for the whole duration of our stay (based the amount according to the minimum funds required for me plus spouse) plus a little extra for books and estimated price for roundtrip airfare. Also submitted a joint account bank cert confirming additional funds for any unforeseen expenses. Apart from the financial proof submitted my recent transcript, ielts, employment and business docs complementing the past 10yrs employment/activity,previous passport stamps and visas complementing the past 5yrs travel history, marriage and birth certs, statement of purpose emphasizing relevance of course to my career and also ties to my country.
My spouse submitted similar docs except for the gic-just attached a letter confirming that he is accounted on the amount I deposited to CIBC. For his statement of purpose:
brief background of his career, reasons for applying (ex. To give support to wife etc., how his work exp. gained in Canada would further his career once we return, also added how his skills can contribute to his future employer in canada),duration of stay-indicated the length of my study program, also highlighted the reasons why needs to go back once im done (ex. His business/promising career prospect etc., basically all the possible logical ties you can think of)
