ANY off campus work can only be done after getting your OCWP.

Working off-campus without a proper work permit is illegal and if caught, you will be deported. You need to complete, 6 months of studies before applying for OCWP and it can take up to 2 months for the permit to be issued. But it is fine to work on-campus.

you can work on campus as soon as you start your term, but usually the jobs on campus gets filled up quickly by residents as well as international students so pls inquire as soon as you get there, and you can only work for 20 hrs per week.... this doesn't require a work permit.
