Hi - I gave IELTS UKVI general training exam an year back was wondering if the same could be accepted by CIC.
Is there a genuine response of FAQ answer by CIC on this or has anyone applied in CIC using their IELTS UKVI General results?
The exam content, grading, scores - everything is same between IELTS General and IELTS UKVI general except for some test day administration requirements.
I checked with multiple people and get a 50% response in terms of yes and no and nothing is clear in this regard.
I took my IELTS general training in the UK and experienced some issues with immigration at the provincial level. Their system wouldn't accept my IELTS number they insisted that I had taken the UKVI IELTS and this couldn't be used for immigration to Canada.
I had taken the standard general training not the UKVI and it was an issue at their end so I managed to get it all sorted out.
However from what was said I gather UKVI is only for UK immigration and can't be used for Canada.
