I will be the prinicple applicant for EE but I want to immigrate with my wife. While I can get her IELTS score( which will fairly less) I dont want to get her ECA done. If I happen to score above 440 alone, is it still mandatory for my wife to get eca and ielts done.If i get her ielts score say in the CL4 or 5 can it affect my score?

It depends on how high your score is without her ielts. Considering the cut off is in the 450+ range lately, I would advise you to see if you can both get a great Ielts score.
I too had a couple of questions about IELTS.
I am the principal applicant. My CRS score is 436 before creating express entry profile. I am aiming towards PNP to obtain PR since my background is basically Mechanical Engineering and I am currently working as Assistant Professor at a college in India (NOC code 4011).
1. Is it really MANDATORY for me to get L8, 7 each in R, W and S in IELTS to ENTER express entry profile and OBTAIN PR through PNP?
2. I am aware that if my wife takes IELTS exam, it can help me improve my CRS score depending on her IELTS scores. But, Is it really MANDATORY for a spouse to take IELTS exam to obtain PR through PNP.
