If your DL cannot be exchanged you need the DL abstract to prove the driving history through an abstract issued by the local authorities in your country.
Presenting just the DL will not be enough.
This DL abstract will help you to avoid appearing for a G2 road test and also helps in reducing the auto insurance premium (to an extent, not every insurance company honors this though)
