No, it's not eligible.

The CPA (chartered professional accountant) is on the DlI list and I think you can do it with an intern/co-op permit. I am looking into that option at the moment in BC. If you have any more info let me know. I have to do the PREP course and noT sure if that make me eligible for study and work permit.

Look into the below. You can get study permits this way.

1. You will have to directly apply for 'accredited' BCom or MBA programs, part of the said courses are eligible for exemption under CPA PREP/PEP. But in no way, CPA program is eligible for study permit.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants is on the DLI for BC, I can't post the link but his is their DLI number O19395639292, I see you posting similar comments J5M in different threads.

I will post that link for you. http://www.ica.bc.ca/kb.php3?catid=352

And, you think you can get 'admission for CPA' as an international student in this institute which is NO more a school but a regulatory and governing institute.

With the unification of CA, CGC & CMA into CPA, only CPA-Canada is authorized to conduct CPA course/exam. CPA-Canada do not run a full fledged school in Canada. You will NOT get study permit for CPA 'alone', only way to get CPA is through admission in full BCom/Master accounting course or credits/exemption for CPA PREP/PEP.

The said institute is authorized to conduct internationally trained and accredited accountants (from selected 8 countries) under agreement of international reciprocity. And for that purpose you got that DLI#.

Correct.

That's a way to get admission in accredited accounting programs in different universities/colleges which are duly recognized by the CPA-Canada (newly formed body) for CPA Prep/Pep credits/exemption.
