is cover letter important?

Hello Seniors,

I am almost ready with my PR application. However, one of my friend recommended me to prepare a cover letter and include all the information in it.

Is it really necessary to attach a cover letter for the CEC application?

by cover letter do you mean a reference letter? if so, you NEED a reference letter from employer, stating your job title, job duties, how long you've been working there, etc. as mentioned in the checklist.

Yes, It would be nice if you could attach a covering letter with the application,,,

My lawyer prepared cover letter for me and, it will give visa office the whole idea on the application. Even before going through all the documents.

Are you kidding bro ? 10-15 pages or cover letter, looks like it would be more than application kit. Cover letter is just a basic info and about application detail , it should not be more than two pages. i would say one page is enough. The other thing it doesn't make big difference but definitely its looks professional.

Just in simple words... Explain all information in application package in 2-3 pages....

Also add information that may explain possible issues with your application if you have any. That will make the visa officer's job much easier.

Cover letter makes a huge difference especially if you any sort complications or if you think your data can be misinterpreted by an officer make sure you explain it in the cover letter.

I got mine rejected due to same reason.

Make sure you prepare a cover letter and explain any situation you think might hinder the process else just walk them through your application and experience.

A cover letter is not necessary, unless you need to explain some detail about your application (e.g. I will send my PCC when I get it).
