Is Correspondence MBA (2years) from SMU valid and considered in PR process?

Hi All,
Kindly help me out with this doubt. I have completed correspondence MBA (2years) degree from Sikkim Manipal University. Will this degree be valid and considered for the PR process?
Also,I have completed my Btech (full time) and working for 2.8 years in the same company n field.
So, am I eligible? Or is MBA correspondence valid?

Yes, it's valid. Please get your assessment done by IQAS.

You should start your application soon since IQAS is taking time to process application these days due to high volume.

But my consultant says since its a distance education, it wont be valid. So, only my btech degree would be considered.

Don't go by consultant wordings, I had the same question when I wanted to start my application. You can go through by so many threads here, read and you'll get your answer clearly (if still have any doubts). Moreover, you should apply on your own, no need to spend so much money to these consultants. They're just taking advantage of other's fear and making money, & acting like a courier guys. So, would suggest to opt out them too.

FYI - I've sent my SMU Masters (MBA degree) for evaluation to IQAS last month and it was delivered on 18th June. Now waiting for the AOR email.

SMU MBA is recognized by IQAS and ICAS, it’s equivalent to Canadian MBA
I got it done in 2016
