is canadian PR with Indian passport allowed to travel to India for his wedding in Feb 2021 in this covid era?

hey guys, I'm asking this question because of covid travel restrictions. please let me know if Canadian PR with Indian passport can travel to India for his wedding in Feb 2021 without any issues?. I am thinking of buying ticket right now.

Do I need any permission from Canadian or Indian embassy? will wedding be considered as valid enough reason for travel or only travel for family emergencies is allowed these days?

For Canada you are allowed although travel is discouraged but you must quarantine for 14 days when you return. Unsure about India but in general any large gathering could become a superspreader event so I would encourage you to have only immediate family and practice social distancing to minimize the risk of people getting sick. Weddings have lead to many covid infections.
