Is a CFO sticker required for Filipino nationals travelling from France to Canada with CoPR?

Good day everyone!

After a good deal of searching online, I figured I'd ask here:

I am a Canadian Citizen, my wife (Filipino National) is currently holding a CoPR issued by Canada, and we are in France at the moment.

We can see that the CFO sticker is required to leave the Philippines when travelling to Canada for the first time, although we are currently not in the Philippines (have been living abroad for years).

Is anyone able to confirm if a CFO sticker is required for a Filipino National holding a CoPR when travelling from another country towards Canada, will IRCC require that upon arrival?

Canada does not care. No idea whether that will cause you problems in PH in future though.

Thanks for replying so quickly Armoured, we were just very concerned as we just now realized that there is a page in the documents sent to us by IRCC stating " Holders of a philippine passport who have been granted an immigrant class visa are required by the philippine government to register the commision of Filipinos Overseas before leaving the country to settle in a foreign land."

Due to that page, we fear they might deny entry for my wife upon arrival in Canada, would you know of any way to cross check that they will not require this upon arrival?

Again: Canada does not care. Canada will not check.

IRCC has warned you that the PH government requires it. That's where their involvement in this issue ends.

The rest is for you to deal with, I don't know if it has any implications for you as a PH citizen livign abroad, or if problems will arise when/if you return to PH, etc.

I do not know how to make this more clear: Canada does not care, and will not check. It is a PH issue, not a Canada issue.
