is 5 years gap acceptable or not?

Hi team,
I want to apply for study visa but i have a gap of 5 years after my POLY. DIPLOMA IN CIVIL ENGG. Kindly suggest me what i have to do ? Here is my detail:

High school (CBSE) with 75% in 2009
Poly. diploma in civil engg with 59.6% in 2012

there is a gap after 2012-2014..afterwards i m doing job till now as a project engg in gurgaon. So help me with this. Should i go for study or not?

Did you check with any university here? usually gap is not an issue.
