is 4months break after 1yr course possible

Can we take a 4 month break off after completing one course and then apply for further studies and stay in canada showing that we are already enrolled for the course which is starting after 120days

According to the new rules

"A study permit becomes invalid 90 days following the completion of studies unless the foreign national also possesses a valid work permit or another authorization to remain in Canada"
