invite uncle to convocation

hello
i have just completed my study here in canada and
want to invite my Maternal uncle as a guest on
my convocation in last week of may
Q. Is it OK to invite guest other than parents?
Q. he is a Govt. employee,married and have kids.
Q. what documents would be required for quick processing?
Q. I have letter from my college stating the exact date of convocation
but they didn't mention name of guest ( simply written upto 2 guests allowed).
any tips If anybody have similar experiances or known cases.

I suggest you submit a paper application (not online).


1. Yes, you can invite your maternal uncle

2. What documents and ties will he show? How long does he intend to visit? Has he traveled to countries like the US/UK/Schengen, etc? He will need an NOC from his employer.

3. There's no such thing as "quick processing". Applications go through the routine process unless background checks/additional information is sought by the visa office.

I also have a similar situation. I want my Uncle and Aunt(real chacha and chachi) to visit Canada.

Can they apply for visitor visa if I send them convocation invitation. I have completed my studies and recently received work permit of 3 years.

My uncle is a businessman and aunt is housewife. They both are above 60 years and regularly file ITR.

Hello Bryanna i have a question.if we apply paper based application from Pakistan .dose same papers goes to Abu Dhabi or they scan papers and send soft copy to Abu Dhabi ?
