Just need your great help with my confusion, please see my case below:
I have worked for 9 months in a government organisation in India but I did not mention this experience in my express entry profile as I do not have any documents to prove that. Now, while filling the personal activities history I am confused whether to mention this experience or not.
I worked in Coal India Limited as an Engineer Trainee, does that count as a government position?
If I mention this experience would I be asked to provide supporting documents?
Also I would like to tell you that I my Canadian work permit expired on may 2015 but I requested for an extension of work permit, I mailed the application just a day before the expiry date of my work permit. The application for work permit extension was refused within 3 months. Then I applied for visitor status stating that I am planning to enroll into another post grad course and need sometime to figure my best option. Since I did not hear back from CIC in the next 2 months I came back to my home country India.
Three months later CIC approved my request for visitor status and gave me visitor's visa for 6 months.
In Jan 2017 I received an invitation to apply for PR and I am not sure what would be the best approach to explain this scenario. Please advise.
Also what should I choose for the 2 questions below:
Have you been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?
Have you been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?:
