invitation letter for visitor visa

do we need a letter of invitation from relatives in canada to apply for a visitor visa to canada from USA?

what are the odds of getting multiple entry visa compared to single entry visa.

If we apply for single entry visa can we travel to a different country before visiting canada and than travel to canada from that country or do we have to travel from usa only cause we applied from usa?

Please share me your ideas I would really appreciate it. thanks a lot

I don't know the requirement of the embassy in the USA. In Europe, it's better if you have an invitation letter, but it's ok if you don't submit it.

I think you can enter Canada from everywhere if you have a valid visa.
