Invitation letter for PCC in India

Hi Everyone,

I am applying for the family class sponsorship as my wife is a Canadian citizen. I have initiated some of the paper work and I am now trying to obtain the Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from India i.e. Mumbai, I have all the documents required but have realised that I need to submit an invitation letter or documentary proof of applying for residential status. I am applying and doing the entire process by myself and not through an agent, and therefore am unable to understand what to provide to the passport office as proof i.e. invitation letter or documentary proof of applying for residential status. Would really appreciate if anyone can help clarify this and point me in the right direction.

Hi did you get your PCC? if yes, could you please let me know what did you submit for invitation letter? My wife being asked the same invitation letter at PSK which she doesnt have as she is applying through Family class sponsorship.

Buddy he is applying under common law, how do you expect him to get marriage certificate?

Sorry, overlooked that. While my spouse got PCC, they asked for proof of relationship and residency. I don't know how to prove common-law in India
