Invalid Marital Status

Hi everyone,

I'm asking on behalf of my friend as she's interested in applying PR through Investor stream. However, she has a misleading info regarding her marital status.

In August 2016, when she applied for TRV, her agency somehow filed that she was still married but in fact she was divorced. Their applications got approved but she didn't notice that mistake till now
In January 2017, her family included her ex-husband traveled to Canada.
Her TRV is valid till 26/3/2018.

My question is how that wrong marital status will affect her application? Could she write an explanation letter?

Hi,

Your friend must submit a notarized copy of her divorce decree to IRCC to prove she was divorced when she applied for her TRV. Only an explanation won't work
