Intial PR card - Delivery to UPS mailbox or to a friend?

Dear All

I would be doing my soft landing soon and I wanted to confirm the recent experience of new PRs regarding initial PR cards.

Firstly, on the immigration counter will they accept if I gave an address for my friend for delivery of my PR card?

Secondly, if a get a mailbox rental service, namely from UPS, which gives a real address rather than a PO Box, will IRCC deliver it to it without any issue?

You will be best using a close friend or a family member. IRCC’s expectation is that it should be a residential address. Some may have been able to use a virtual address but it's not recommended..
