I applied for PR back in 2010. I was interviewed today by a New Delhi Visa office. At end of the interview VO told me to wait for the instructions on next steps. She also told me that "as of now" everything looks positive. Is this the standard response at the end of interview? Do they let you know up front about rejection?
Also, usually how long does it take to receive request for medical after interview?

I'm sure your case will have positive outcome. Actually they have no reasons to conceal the truth and not to tell you of any concerns they have regarding your application.
They asked about
1) Which school I studied and what subjects I had
2) What college did I go to and what subjects did I had
3) What was my career progression like
4) What was my role in one of the jobs
5) What was my role in my second job
6) What was my role in third job
7) Apparently I had some discrepancy in my forms that I sent second time for the updates. They asked about it. I clarified.
8) When was I married (I was married two years after my application)
9) What was the venue
10) Who were the guests
and then little chit chat.
