International Travel and Re-entry on a Canadian Work Permit

I'm currently on a work permit, but my student visa hasn't expired yet. Can I use the student visa for international travel and re-entry?

Even if your status in Canada changes, you are still permitted to use a valid TRV regardless of the code noted, you should be good
