International tax and non-resident enquirers?
I do not have any job in Canada and will be working in DUBAI for a period of one year from 16th December 2016 onwards. I will be coming to Canada in year 2018 and will be then looking for jobs. I am currently present in Canada itself, I landed on 14th July and will be returning back on 16th December to DUBAI in this period of time I haven’t work in Canada
My question is do I need to pay taxes even if I work in DUBAI from period of 16th December 2016 to 2018 January.
I have no property, car, business or any family member present in Canada.

No, if you have no family or assets in Canada, you will not have to pay Canadian tax on your UAE income.

Tricky one. You are resident for Canadian tax purposes even if you are abroad. You are required to file tax return and pay taxes on worldwide income, including Dubai income. However, you will have to do further research if there is a tax treaty between Canada and UAE and if yes how such matters are dealt with. Suggest better take tax advice.
