Hi, I received an email stating that my study permit application has been updated.
When i entered CIC, (applied online), they said that my application has been approved, and i received a correspondence letter stating:

"Dear ...,
Your application to study in Canada has been approved. A permit authorizing your studies will be issued to you on your arrival...."
Its been a week and I still didn't receive my passport request. I have emailed CIC and saudi's canadian embassy too but i have received no response.

Moreover, I already have a valid canadian visit visa. can i still land in canada with just the correspondance letter?
So what does this mean, shouldn't they request my passport?
My passport is INDIAN but I am applying from Saudi Arabia (my country of residence).
i have been issued an eta, does this change anything?

please guide me on this. thankyou.

In how many days you received approval from saudi arabia? Did you attach exit re entry visa? And how many months?

3 weeks. No I didn't have to attach the exit reentry. I'll apply for one once I've decided to leave the country
