I understand that as an international student I can bring a car from the US and I dont need to import it. But, if I'm already in Canada, can I go south of the border to buy a car and bring it? I have all the required documentation to buy a car in the US and it would be way cheaper.

That was not very helpful. As I said, I don't have to import it. As a temporary resident (student) I can bring a car for my own use.

So can a just cross the border and bring a new car? Seems to easy to be true....
