A friend of mine has received her PPR for student visa. She applied only for herself in the first round.
She is divorced, age 35. She has two children age 6 and 9.
Has anyone who is single parents with children applied for student visa? Once she gets her visa, other than financials, what should be the focus on when applying for the visa for the dependent children?

She needs to get the consent letter from their father (if still alive) that she is allowed to travel alone with the kids for an extended period of time.

Financial is a big consideration given that she will have difficulty working and may even have to pay for childcare before and after school depending on her class schedule.

I think she should have applied for her kids visa at the same time as her SP. I am assuming she has custody of both the kids.
There is no way she can go overseas without her children in her situation, why delay the inevitable?
