nope....ur indian driving license will b valid fr 8 months there
n international one will b valid there fr 12 months there
You'll give test in Canada both theory and practical . Both are mandatory. But Get experience letter from that from age xx to xx , you got xx experience. It'll help you there. The experience letter will only issue on your visa.
Any kind of experience in Canada surely helps .
Good luck
its better to get an international driving license due its longer validity.
to obtain a full driving license in Canada, u need to have a full 'G' license which u only get by completing two levels i.e 'G1' and 'G2'.
and the process to obtain this usually takes 24 months unless u take up a drivers education course which enables u to complete the whole process in 16 months, saving u a total of 8months.
so technically, y waste your 8months on driving international license when u can prepare and get the G1

Okay, so that experience letter I need to get from India, from RTO office to be specific?
And once I get a letter made from here, do i have to give those theorectical and practical tests in canada?
Yes , you'll have to give both tests, theory is easy just road signs, you'll see. total 40 questions.
Practical depends on your driving and experience. If you have any kind of problem in practical, you can get driving lessons . No big deal.

Ok, Thanks a TON!!..
Was really helpful..
Just one last ques: whats the cost for both theorectical and practical test (roughly)

Cost depends on the place you're going, type of car you're going to drive.
roughly around 100C$-170C$
Good luck
Oh I forgot to mention, you'll also need to pass eye test.
