Anyone who has experience with the Ontario Driving license procedure???
I'll arrive in April at Toronto, Ontario as a Permanent Resident. I have driving experience of 13 months in Pakistan. I'll bring the Driving Experience Certificate from Pakistan required to apply for G1 in Canada.
My question is I also want to apply for International Driving Permit (IDP) in Pakistan because from what I understand, with G1 I have to be accompanied by an experienced driver and for the 1 year period I can drive in Canada with an IDP without being accompanied by a driver. Am I correct?

If you are a newcomer to Ontario and hold a driver's licence from another province or country, you are required to apply for an Ontario driver's licence within 60 days of residing in Ontario. If you hold a non-Ontario licence, you are legally allowed to drive in Ontario for 60 days before an exchange is required.
