If I (sponsor) have moved to a different city in the same province for work, but my permanent address is still the one we used on our application (my parent’s home), is it advisable for the principle applicant to let the officer know that during the landing process. I do not want to change my address on ECAS right now as that is my parent’s home, therefore more permanent and stable postal service there. He would still be landing in the same city as we stated in the application. However, after staying a couple of days there, we plan to move together to the city I am currently working at. I just wanted to know what is best route to take in this situation.

You can give the CBSA officer that does your landing any address in Canada (except Quebec if that's not where you applied from) that you want your PR card to be mailed to. At your landing, it doesn't matter at all what address you had in your application as that is no longer relevant.

Ok if the address is still relevant and I actually would want the PR card to be mailed at the current address (that is on the application) instead of where I am working- then it is best to just leave things as they are and not worry? I figured that would have been the case- I was just wondering about whether not mentioning that would be "hiding" something. So from what you are saying, the address is only relevant for the mailing of the PR card?

They will specifically ask you to confirm an address that PR card will be sent to. It can be same address as on your app, or you can give an entirely new one. It really doesn't matter at all, just do what's most convenient to you.
