Hi everyone, My husband is a permanent resident and I am currently holding a Visitor's Visa which will expire 7 days from now.
We already filed a Spousal sponsorship within Canada which includes open work permit, CIC received my application
on Nov. 17, 2016. Until now, I'm not receiving any work permit. To make sure that I'm maintaining a legal status, I filed an extension of my
Visitor's visa which they received on February 1, 2017( 32 days before my Visitor's Visa expires and 30 days before the expiration is CIC's requirement)
and until now I haven't heard anything from them except that they already opened/read my application. Am I covered with Implied Status?
as I have pending approvals and waiting documents.
I'm in a similar predicament with my WHV expiring 5th June. My partner and I get married 29th April so I'll need to switch to a visitor visa but I'm worried what happens if they reject my visitor visa but by that point they've recieved my OWP application as part of the inland process :/

I apllied to extend my stay as a visitor May 5th... still heard nothing since its taking around 80 days atm. We submitted our spousal sponsorship may 28th so now we're just waiting...
