Hi all, has anyone encountered this. I submitted my application in Feb, 2017. My husband did his medical in June, 2017, to date we haven't had any correspondence from CIC. The online status still says in process and when I call for an update, they are saying that they are still doing background check. Any advise?

That’s a really long wait. I would contact Member of Parliament and have them contact and see what’s the hold up since you have passed the 12 month mark.

Also, have you ordered the GCMS notes? It could also tell you what the issue is.
Contacting your MP would be useful as well.

I ordered the GCMS notes last week. Current wait time is 30 days. MPP office says to check in with them end of Nov, whilst the MP will be giving a letter of support before end of week. We’re caught between a rock and a hard place... smh
