I applied to sponsor my spouse and her daughter in September 2021. We received temp aor Dec 23, 2021. Then we received permanent AOR and medical instructions on January 20th, 2022. The medical portion was updated as completed on February 1st, 2022. So about ten days ago.
I believe we have a complex case. We are a same-sex couple with an age gap (10 years). We have been together since 2019 and lived together since 2020. My spouse lives here in Canada but her daughter is still in the Philippines. Her daughter lives with my mother in law, and does not have a father in her life nor is one listed on her birth certificate. We included a letter of explanation regarding that part.
I am assuming her daughter's portion will need to be processed outland, while my spouse's portion will be processed in Canada. I imagine we won't be seeing the quick processing times that those who applied in 2021 have been talking about. I guess we'll see.

As long as you submitted evidence to show that you have at least one year of continuous cohabitation (with strong evidence covering the full 1 year period), I don't see an issue.
