Hi everyone,

i am applying for common law sponsorship in the next couple of months. My partner is permanent resident of Canada.

My partner is planning to go to his home country by the end of the year to visit his parents and I think we would have already sent in our inland spousal sponsorship by then. Will his travelling be an issue to our application? He is planning to go for at least 3 week to a month max. I am out of status from 1.5 years and I am terrified.

Since he is PR he has to reside in canada, going for a whole month could be tricky.

He should only leave for 3 weeks max, if they find out he is gone for a month they will reject your application as he is only a PR & needs to stay in the country to be able to sponsor you.
