Inland Applicant After Landing.

Hello Everyone,

I have been living in Canada for 8 years, and had been working on a work permit here. I recently did my Permanent residence landing, so my PR is now activated. At the border I was told that I cannot apply for a SIN card until I get my PR card, which would be at least two months from now. Is this something that is required, or can I apply for a SIN card using my CORP? Because it makes no sense that I can’t apply for a SIN card until I get my PR card.

All you’re help will be greatly appreciated.

That is definitely not true. Your CORP is enough for you to apply for SIN. Nothing stops you from attempting it.
